FAQs

I’m new to therapy. How does this work?

After contacting me and having our brief consultation phone call, we will schedule your first intake session. This is a longer session, often around 60 minutes, where I will be learning about what is bringing you into therapy and you will get to know more about how I work. We will also create your individualized goals for therapy. After the intake session, we will schedule your weekly individual therapy sessions (typically 45 minutes) where we will work on your goals. It will take around three sessions or so to make sure we are a good fit for each other!

Is therapy forever? How long do I need to be in therapy?

Therapy is not “one size fits all”: everyone’s experience with therapy is different. This will depend on you, your needs, and your personal goals. Some people may find a few sessions may be sufficient. Others may choose to continue meeting for a longer time. My goal is to support you for as long as you need: whether it is short-term, long-term, or somewhere in the middle.

What are your fees? Do you accept insurance?

Please contact me, Dr. Randi Weinberger, for fees. Payment is expected at the time of service. Credit cards and Zelle are accepted. Sessions canceled with less than 24 hours will be charged in full (as per my policy). No, I do not accept insurance at this time.

Are you offering sessions in person or virtually?

All sessions are virtual (via a HIPPA-compliant Telehealth platform) so we can meet from the comfort of your home!

What is your cancellation policy?

Sessions canceled with less than 24 hours will be charged in full (as per my policy).
