Working on your “self”

Are you having a difficult time feeling good about yourself? Do you often feel like you don’t have confidence in yourself? Are your thoughts focused on what others think about you? Do you often criticize yourself?

Self-esteem refers to how you feel about yourself. This develops over time from a variety of experiences and situations that have an influence on who you are today. In life, obstacles and challenges are inevitable. When you hit a bump in the road, your self-esteem can take a hit and you may begin to feel bad about yourself.
